For a while I wrote here then went to MSN's spacesthen came back here awhile. My posts were generally daily coincidences and synchronicity of sorts. I use a lot of collages and symbolic references, in a stream of consciousness that gets eerie for those unused to such constant statistical stress, lol. BUT...I continue to anagram daily and have kept them for my return to blogging. No phone and no internet...just like in the olde days. ;)

Dizzy Day

Horoscope for today: “Male relationships will be undergoing some cosmic renovations, so be prepared for some high-energy interactions. Just remember that you won't know the final outcome for quite some time, so reserve judgment.”

Ok, whatever that means. Yes, I will reserve judgment, lol.

The males I know all think of me as another guy. I doubt those that are gay will be changing, and those that are hetero, well, let’s just say, they are what they are. Maybe the bird I have been calling a male will turn out to be female after all. Must be the full moon. Last night’s moon was pretty, golden, like a jewel in the sky. So though I was not feeling well, I did get to see it for a few minutes before being forced back into bed. As hot as it is today, I really don’t mind that I am not outside. Headaches, dizzy, the stomach queasies (lost my cookies yesterday) and leg cramps, pretty much mean I need to rest today. I think heat exhaustion got me, and even though I didn’t think I was that hot, I didn’t eat until about 5:30 yesterday (for the whole day) and only had coffee in the morning and a soda in the afternoon. Probably should know better at this age, but…

Today is daughter number one’s birthday, 22, and again, I have failed as a mother, no card and no gift. I meant to get out a couple of days ago, and it just hasn’t happened. Son’s birthday came and went in April, and tough I did finally get up there last month, having lunch with all three chillin’s (what I call the kids), I always feel bad that things are not like they used to be.

Used to be: birthdays were special; everyone got a gift. I started that when the second child was born. Ever since they were old enough to know, we would all go to dinner at the celebrant’s restaurant of choice. I especially feel bad for the youngest child, she was cheated with fewer “affordable” family birthdays. Now, I live in another state, almost could be in another world, the way it seems. She is sweet and says I am the gift when I visit, and yeah, I did teach her that we are gifts by our presence, not presents, but cannot help but remember how I was always there to make birthdays personal. We never had big parties for anyone, because I thought that would be ridiculous, as though asking for gifts, so there were no parties with classmates. We lived in a part of town where friends seemed to get 25 to thirty gifts from parties with friends every year. Yuck! I thought what a thing to teach! I couldn’t quite buy into that. So, for us, it was more an intimate family thing. Each child received something because it was a celebration of the life of their sibling, and the birthday child knew they were special, and though they received a few more gifts what was special was that we were all there together. I don’t need to win the lottery, but just 10% of what we used to have would be nice, so I could afford gas and a meal, if nothing else. Presence is good.

Cosmic renovations could be nice, too.
Bird and I stayed in today. He pecked a bit more, tried to get into the bathtub with me, and doesn’t like spaghetti “worms”, but the tail feathers seem a little longer today, so I am hopeful that tomorrow I feel better, and bird goes for a longer flight. Speaking of birds, I saw an article about a very old crow that died recently, about 59 years old…older than me!!!

Yesterday and today...

Two collages today, sorry if it hinders any continuity, but I was out all day yesterday, got dehydrated and came home ill, so didn't get anything written. Today' I noticed the collage contains references to that which was written in the last entry, so knowing the universe works the way it does, it was meant to wait a day. Today is daughter' #1's birthday, so I am hoping she has a great one. I spoke with daughter #2, who said she has made a page for me on myspace.com so I can occasionally comment on her blog. That came up when she told me she had her page and I realized comments could not be added unless a member. I don't care, it is just one more ID. I just wrote up the profile and she will make the page.

I put three cartoons (parts of cartoons) on that had a text connection from previous entry. Either you catch it or you don't.

The myspace space? Not much of a stretch is it? "isi2i"

Vevay kinda day...

We went to a friend’s house in the Vevay area; she’s the woman who is the caretaker of the Musee de Venoge, where last May 21-22, I was part of a small event where the guys put the turkey tail roof (shake shingles) on the house and I did a little white-washing. It’s in one of my other journals someplace. Donna (Weaver) does wax portraits (http://www.waxportraits.com/) and used to work for the U.S. Mint. Very talented woman. Also visiting another friend came down from Dayton, Ohio. Saundra owns http://www.pastpatterns.com/

So, today poor bird did not get to fly, but got to ride in a car and hang out at a new place for a while. Maybe tomorrow there will be more flight time at home. My daughter says I should name the bird, and I say the best name would be “Hungry”, as that is what seems to get notice. ‘

Speaking of my daughter, she told me today that she had a mail from her ex stepsister (via her online blog) about some items that her ex stepfather had been keeping. I thought it would be odd that they would have anything from any of us, considering I packed most of their stuff for them when they left. She said she would tell them to mail it to her, no matter what it was. Good idea I thought. She prefers to avoid confrontation if possible, especially considering all the heartache they put our family through. I also informed my daughter that the ex stepsister’s aunt had died in February, which was a surprise to her. I informed her that it occurred whilst I was there for my friend Gary and his dying brother, and attending the funeral, and that the obits were two apart in the newspaper on the same day. A little unusual, but you know, coincidence seems to be more an everyday occurrence, so nothing is all that unusual anymore, is it? They did care about the woman’s son, so I figured I could let her know at this point. Enough of that!

Today’s collage contains an interesting anagram, part of a quote from a physorg.com article at http://www.physorg.com/news71412950.html

I turned the words “wherever water goes, either through the ground or through our bodies, it takes ions along with it” into the words “God is throughout our ether, look through one stain, begin with wider heart, get river water shoes”. All made sense to me, lol. I have a funny little cartoon I clipped from the newspaper years ago. I showed a man returning from the dry cleaners with a tag around his neck; something to the effect that they could not remove the stain from (his wife’s) her life. I have a sense of humor. I bought some water shoes at Target, so that is the universe’s way of letting me know I am ON target. Bull’s eye!

Stop me if you've heard this one...

Bird learned to fly fairly well today. We spent a few hours outside, me on the ground, he flitting back and forth from tree to rooftop to tree to another tree. He came down when he was hungry, having seen me dig up ten worms and put them in a bucket. After that, the cats went out and he came in, happy to eat some mixed food (today the cat food, banana, and bread mix, and napped awhile longer. Bird seemed content, obviously tired from his exploration outside. Still won’t pick food up on his own; spoiled little brat.

Collages are streamed, parts from yesterday, parts from today’s cartoons. Yesterday the title of my entry was “Droppings”, and I made reference in the collage to droppings, and in the text, about pings…that which connects. While working on the collage, writing the word “droppings” next to the cartoon bubble containing the word (as I wrote that just now, a commercial was on and I heard the word “bubbles” used, lol, and then my beau changed channels and I saw bubbles on another channel; it was a Sprite “sublyminal” commercial…I changed the word a few times before the computer let me keep it at the spelling at the site “ sublYminal.com” (had to capitalize the Y because the computer kept changing it to the correct spelling, lol) where I copied the screen because it said, “catch you later”. Cat and mouse, lol.

Where was I, oh yeah, when I wrote the word “droppings” I heard on the TV program (on at the time) someone used the word at the same time I wrote it. What a funny computer I have. According to an anagram today, using a cartoon bubble in which the frog says, “Stop me if you’ve heard this one.” Rearranged the letters of that statement worked two ways today:

1. Id of E-Heaven omputes history [and]
2. you have time for his top needs

I copied and flipped part of the cartoon, the Overboard cartoon, that contained a pool with a monster in it pointing to a dog. So when mirrored and flipped it appears to be a critter standing between two monsters. Kinda’ cool. I like weird things though.

Collage started yesterday...

Droppings

The randomly chosen cartoon bubble (from Frank and Ernest) with the words, “I can’t understand it…they’re always on their toes” is again used today as part of my collage. Actually this was yesterday's collage, since I have not yet looked at today's cartoons. I anagrammed those words several times choosing to use two concepts for the collage, more or less because of what has been in the news. The words “I can’t understand it…they’re always on their toes” translated to:

1.) “can say it in rare wonder…it stayed on the shuttle” [and]
2.) “they wait, it halts one and undersecretary’s on it”

My beau mentioned yesterday that I was getting quite a collection of bird droppings in the bathroom, and to some extent, I was not in a hurry to do anything with it. In the news, bird droppings have made it to space; yes, indeed, news coincidentally.

http://www.space.com/missionlaunches/ap_060705_sts121_bird_droppings.html

My beau said it will be more important to see how well the droppings fair on the return trip.

Also in the news, more about the North Korean launches…I started this collage yesterday, and finished it today, having anagramming many possibilities and deciding to reduce the collage somewhat and stick to one or two ideas. When I heard the story about the bird droppings I knew I was on to something. Who is really in charge? Ya have to wonder sometimes.

Daughter had a little face and arm surgery today, and beau had some teeth worked on, so everyone is a little slowed down today, me included. The dentist’s office lighting gave me a migraine, the cycle of the fluorescents. Every now and then…

The bird pecked a little last night and today. Of course, it had nothing to do with finding food by and for himself. He watched me look for worms and accepted them from my hand, as usual. Lazy bird, lazy bird.

Enjoy the collage. Maybe if I get to my cartoons today I will get another one up, or just combine today's with tomorrow's. Whatever works. In the meantime, I will look to see if those droppings photos showed up online any place...for the record.

Double dose of sorts

Same thing but different...It explains itself.

birds and worms and rain and

Some birds are not smart enough to come in out of the rain, so their foster parents have to go fetch them. My beau rescued our little buddy from the storm. I gave him the rain test yesterday when I hosed him, and sure enough, he just sat there as I did, so I knew this was coming. We needed a good rain, even if people wanted a nice day for picnics and boating. It was just a good soaker, and now it is nice outside again. It was another day like any other here. I actually have a nice cerveza, a Pacifico clara, and every now and then, it’s nice to be able to go to the fridge and find one there.

Huge thunder crackers outside! Great lightning show while it lasted.

Early today we ventured out a few minutes to see an old friend of my beau’s, an elderly man (Lou) who is in the last stage of life, liver failure, and he is fortunate enough to be at home, with his wife and children, as he winds down in hospice care. I know this is difficult for my beau and I will do whatever I can for his comfort as well as his friend. I offered to sit at night if they needed someone to be there.

I went back to my collages from previous entries and looked at the randomly chosen cartoon bubble that was put into the collage. The words were: “Luckily I was blessed with an upload.” I decided to again look over other components and I anagrammed those words to equate to a place I went online today (a U.S. flag display kit) “US display kit” “hi-low”, which showed position on a painting used in the collage, “bw clue” as in black and white dragonfly pointing up (and it took me a while to figure out the position in which it should be placed in the collage) and “land-sea” which tells where something landed. The Red Sun that came up for me, that was mentioned as painting by Miro, could have been the flag of Japan which shows a red dot on a white background, similar to one of the paintings, and of course, the previous mention about Red Sun was that the name Red Sun was a cover up for when the movie Superman Returns was being made. The Indian fellow from Frank and Ernst pointed to the red dot on the Miro painting. Is there a hidden meaning in the painting, as the cartoon bubble suggests? Maybe what I see is like a Bible Code of sorts.

I really do have a sunflower in the yard which points to the North. I thought it was a little odd. I have a habit of seeing things differently, like when dragons fly.
Uploading problems again. I guess I will put the two I made today up tomorrow. It all has its own timing anyway.

myth busted, but still...

Yesterday, when I went to the art site, I noticed a certain poster, the original painting a Joan Miro, the Spanish artist, and gave the link for it. I happened to get something from the painting, but cannot explain. I did notice that I mentioned a Myth Busters episode was on yesterday, wherein they placed a penny on the train track to see if it would derail a train, but of course it did not. Then again, maybe it did, as it was reported today that a subway train had derailed in Valencia, Spain. The chaos theory is shown, circuitous maybe, but still I see a connection. That painting played into the collage today, with placement of objects in the painting, color and something else I will not try to explain.

It cues me, that;’s all I can say. When I decided to use today’s Frank and Ernst cartoon, I happened to see a heart shape within the cartoon that connected me otherwise to the “Rose is” cartoon. For some this might be a stretch, but for me, it is a small detail that has a particular meaning, something visual at the onset. There is a bubble from another cartoon that asks if there is a “hidden meaning in this painting”, and yesterday I mentioned that the Red Sun, on the show I was watching on TV, was a cover-up for something else. The painting used in my collage is not that one. The next cartoon, a B.C. toon, showed me an index finger, which lead me back to the F & E toon, to notice the tiny detail, after I saw the “Rose is toon”. It really is much more simple than I am able to relate.

Today I saw my first common whitetail dragonfly. I noticed it looked like a white body carrying four black flags…kinda’, enough for me to look it up online. Everything is in its own order, not necessarily in the order in which it occurred today. I liked the part of the Over the Hedge cartoon where the guys are talking about insecurities of humans. I would think that most humans are insecure about a certain kinda of synchronicity that happens in my daily life, or that if such were part of their day-to-day experience, it would become overwhelming. I have my moments. I realize that on some level this all seems fairy nuts, and I have to admit, had I entertained any of this stuff five years ago…I would have said, Yes, nuts, period. But since then, I have come to realize that being a little crazy is a good thing for me. Those that get it, get it, and those that don’t cannot appreciate the same little things that I do.

I cannot and will not explain why every piece of cartoon or photos or words appear in my collages, but I can tell you that they are all part of the stream of consciousness that gets me from point A to point B and beyond. Sometimes it is all good, sometimes, bad and generally I can appreciate whatever is, however it comes to me. But, since I consider it to be from what I call God, or ET or, something else…it is all good to me. All things are possible.
The computer underlines all good a third time…must be the charm. ;)

Speaking of third time's charm...the bird I have been caring for, a fledgling robin, has learned to fly a bit today. He went from one end of the yard to the other, and I imagine he will be a fully flighted bird within the week. Whether or not he will be able to feed himself is another story, since he still refuses to pick up food that is set before him. We ordered pizza in tonight...let's see him do that in the wild, lol.

An Unfortunate Occurrence

An accident at the Madison Regatta today, a vehicle plowed through the crowds, causing the race to end prematurely as injured were taken to local hospitals and some flown out via helicopter to Louisville hospitals.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060702/ap_on_sp_ot/boat_race_crash

first link regarding the story, so I imagine tomorrow's newspaper (in Madison, Indiana) MadisonCourier.com will have the story.

Worms

I started my day looking for worms.

That’s what momma robins do, I suppose. This morning I enlisted the assistance of my beau. We were moving stuff around in the yard, and some vinyl siding was picked up, and as I stepped forward, he stepped back and the siding went right into my eye. I am a wimp; it hurt. But ice and Advil and a whole lot of good luck prevented things from being any worse. I did pronounce penance on my beau…he had to go get milk & sugar for my coffee, a Sunday paper, for when my eyes got better, and worms for the baby robin. Of course, worms; doesn’t everyone have worms at the corner store? Well, we do, but the worms were a bit more costly than I thought, $2.29 a dozen. I have a feeling that is why the bird was on it’s own. It has been hard to find any in the yard, so she decided to feed herself and let him fend for himself. He still won’t pick them up by himself, so he is feasting on one the night-crawlers (BIG worms) per hour, along with a cat food/banana/grainy bread mix. He has spent most of the day in the bathroom on branches and the window, and as I type this entry, he is in the bedroom looking out a different window. I took a picture of him and put it in the collage.

After I got the swelling down on my face, I started my collage. For some reason, after I placed pieces of five cartoons on the page, I underlined it with a red line. About an hour later, when I got back around to the Red & Rover cartoon

I saw there was a red line of thought there as well as in the Non Sequitur toon

All things are relative one way or another, aren’t they…just up to us to notice how they connect. Take the text from one strip that reads, “Is this something you can handle?” and the next toon in my collage is that of a man’s back pocket with spoons sticking out, some you see the handle, some the…hey, what do you call that part of the spoon, the bowl of the spoon, the scoop of the spoon, the cup of it, what? So I look it up.

The first thing that catches my eye is the point…that being where I left off ion the collage, so naturally when I see “the spoon is a familiar object, perhaps even intimate. it is often our first tool, ... with a point or points. either of the component parts of a spoon, ...” So I hit the link:

http://www.links.net/vita/swat/course/every/final/spoon.html

I do run across strange things sometimes. And because it showed up on the search page and I was in the mood, another link:

http://artfiles.art.com/images/-/George-Grall/A-close-view-of-tiny-poison-dart-frog-Rana-species-held-in-a-plastic-spoon-Print-C11691675.jpeg

Poison dart frog in a spoon. OK. While I was at the art site, I looked at some Joan Miro (Spanish artist) prints. A.D.D. But I don’t mind. I go with the flow of things. While I was looking, I came across The Red Sun

and thought back to the Story of Superman (about 11 AM) on A & E today, when they said they used the name The Red Sun, to cover up that they were making Superman Returns. After I write the sentence just written, I am continuing on the art site and see another poster with the same title

Interesting. I consider that for a moment, and back to writing. The TV is on, my beau has it on Myth-Busters; the guys put a penny on some train tracks and flattened it. They decide that a penny cannot derail a train unless it is in the conductor’s eye. I found a penny in my bed right after I saw the cartoon with the character finding a penny. All day he had bad luck, but considered himself lucky when he found that. I just consider it a connection, a brand new 2006 shiny, didn't-see-a-single-fingerprint-on-it penny found after I was injured this morning.

Another print catches my eye:

http://artfiles.art.com/images/-/Joan-Miro/Paysage-1976-Serigraph-C10290992.jpeg

Simple.

The bird awakens from his nap on the window, and I figure it is time to go outside a while. Maybe I can find some worms.

Madison's Regatta in the background

Booms, and wind ups. The short sound of engines on the waters. The Regatta's on!

Double click on picture to enlarge.
W
hatever stung me yesterday did not kill me, but there is a creepy crawly feeling inside my arm, as though something is inching its way up my arm. I swear you can see something move under the skin, maybe like a muscle contraction or something. A little weird, I guess, but apparently I will survive.

Our little fledgling is still alive as well. Today I placed him in the bathroom for a while so he could exercise his flappers a bit, He managed to get up to the windowsill, so that seemed progress, made me hopeful that going outside could be worthwhile. We brought the cats in, and bird and I went for a walk, he inside the cat carrier, listening for any momma bird voices. There were none, so we came back to the yard. He hopped about a little, and attempted flight of some sort. He made it about 5 feet away and about a four-inch higher plane. I started getting sunburned waiting for him to do something else, so I plopped him in the grass, with the husky mix trying to get a few licks on him. I dug about the yard a bit, a not-very-good example as a momma bird looking for worms. It took me about five minutes to find any, it is so dry here, but as soon as I found one, the bird started getting excited, so obviously he knows what these are. Still using the other homemade formula for him too, so he is getting a balanced diet it seems.

What do I know? Birds eat often, he squawks every half hour for feeding. Easting about 5 decent sized worms, plus some other mixed stuff, so I spend more time finding and fixing than he spends eating. This is not fun. He seems to be getting a little better at sitting on his stick, too. I put a branch in the bathroom so he can flit about in there a little. I sure hope this works and I can let him go in a day or so and that somehow, he manages to be able to find and eat on his own.

As I write this, Peter Pan is on TNT, helping his kids to fly away from the island now and saying goodbye to the others. He flies away and says, “Thank you for believing.”

Such is life.

It is Saturday; the Madison Regatta is heard above the A/C. It is hot outside, so unless I am getting worms, I doubt I will be out much until the sun gets behind the trees and casts shade in the yard.

Today's collage: I have one sunflower growing in the yard; it faces North. The man across the street grows a few, and they face south.

The Wizard of Id contained a text bubble with a reference to king-size or queen-size, which means nothing more than I made a connection. The partial photo in the collage is that of the freshly washed pillow outside my window, on the side porch; the tag on the pillow is marked "Queen Size".

Somehow, it connects me.

Madison Courier had a photo of the parade: http://madisoncourier.com/SiteImages/FeaturePhoto/3104.jpg
